ONE MECHANISM, FROM START TO FINISH

Rhythm is pitch.

Each moving dot makes one identical impulse when it reaches a corner. At low speed you hear separate strikes. At high speed, their repetition frequency becomes a tone. There is no switch to a different chord synthesizer.

pitch = corners × laps/second × gearing

Major: 4, 5 and 6 corners at 55 laps/s give 220, 275 and 330 Hz.
Minor: 10, 12 and 15 corners at 22 laps/s give 220, 264 and 330 Hz.

The library builds those shapes for you. “Keep bass” adjusts the visible shared motor to preserve the first ring’s strike rate when selecting a new recipe. The tuning reference is simply a calculator for that motor.

Progressions really change the machine. Each step contains corner counts, motor multipliers and a common motor speed. You can load a step, alter the geometry, then capture it back into the route.

These are pure-ratio chords, not piano tuning. Roots use standard concert-pitch references; upper voices keep the exact frequency ratios. The harmonic seventh and 5-limit diminished chord are intentionally different from equal temperament.

The dots never enter slow motion. We draw their actual travelled paths over the selected afterglow interval. At high speed the complete polygon glows. Brightness is an illustration of persistence, not a literal camera simulation.

Space: play/pause. Escape: silence. Keyboard A W S E D F T G Y H U J K: transpose the shared motor. Sound starts only after a tap. WAV export uses the same engine and effects. V2/V3 note patches are not interchangeable with this engine.
